How to add an Outlook calendar to the Calendar app

If you are having trouble adding your Outlook calendar to the Samsung calendar app, you can try syncing your Outlook calendar with your Google calendar, then syncing your Google calendar with the Samsung calendar app.

Step 1: Copy your Outlook calendar's ICS address

In order to sync your Outlook calendar with your Google calendar you will first need to copy its ICS address. Follow the steps below to find out how:

1 From a computer, sign in to your Outlook calendar.

2 Click the Settings icon at the top right of the screen, then click "View all Outlook settings".

3 Click "Calendar", then "Shared calendars".

4 In the "Publish a calendar" section, select the calendar you wish to share, then choose whether to share all details or just whether you are busy, then select "Publish".

Select the calendar that you would like to share

5 Click the ICS link, then click "Copy link".

Once you have copied the link, follow the steps in the next section to add it to your Google calendar.

Step 2: Add your Outlook calendar to your Google calendar

1 Open Google calendar on your computer.

2 On the left, click the + next to "Other calendars" then click "from URL".

3 Paste your Outlook calendar's ICS address, then click "Add calendar".

4 It may take a few minutes to import your Outlook calendar. Once complete, your Outlook calendar will have been added to your Google calendar.

Once you have added your Outlook calendar to your Google calendar, follow the steps in the final section to sync this with the Samsung calendar app.

Step 3: Add and sync your Google calendar to your Samsung calendar

1 Open the Samsung calendar app on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

2 Tap the Menu icon

3 If you have already added your Google calendar to the Samsung calendar app, tap "Sync now".

4 If you have not already added your Google account, tap "Manage calendars”

5 Tap + to add a new calendar.

6 Select "Google" and then follow the instructions to sign in to your account and add your Google calendar. Then select “Sync now” to update the calendar.

7 Check to make sure that your Google calendar is displaying. If you cannot see it, tap the Menu icon, then tap the down arrow next to your Google account to make sure that "Calendar" is selected.

Please note: Events from your Google calendar will usually show in a different colour.
